Kind of an enigma of a movie. The only reason why it's talked about is because it's the highest grossing film ever made yet was forgotten about for so many years. The actual discussions and memes behind it are more interesting than the film itself unfortunately. Yeah the visuals are very cool and it's a nice watch in the theater but as an actual story, it kinda lacks substance. The main characters are just kinda bland despite the extremely long…

Why does my family force me to watch the most awful shitdjdjdidndndn

Yeah, it’s more awful than you would expect. Not only is this visually one of the worst remakes, but every change and/or addition to the original story is incomprehensible. Also, the characters are so fucking annoying and/or have no depth. I really do wish Disney eventually comes to their senses, but given recent news and just how they’re a terrible company in general, I doubt it’ll happen. I have nothing left to say but fuck you.

I have to stop pirating awful movies my family will eventually make me watch. Way worse on re-watch, the blender guy didn't even show up!

An absolute blast in every way. I'm so glad I went to see this movie, I loved mostly everything about it. Although there were definitely conveniences here and there, I mostly didn't care because A. Stuff like fate and luck were shown to be crucial to the story (Better movie about luck than Luck lol)
    B. The movie's so much fun
And yeah, every character felt distinct and interesting, I liked how creative a lot of plot beats and action…

Not gonna watch as many movies anymore cause of school, so I just wanted to let you guys know.

One of those movies where it's baffling to me how it even got approved. Not even close to the worst shit I've ever seen but yeah, it's as awful as everyone says it is.

An absolutely beautiful work of art and love letter to cinema. This movie captures the struggles of working in the film industry so well, yet also capturing the passion that film can bring people. At the end of the day, I really love movies. It's an art form that means so much to me because it can resonate with and connect with me. I may be harsh on many movies, but I'm harsh because I care. Because I know that…

Watched the Redux version which probably affected my enjoyment a little bit. This movie is undeniably very well-made, and I was really into the first hour, but everything after that feels kinda dragged out to me. I'll watch the regular version eventually and maybe I'll fall in love with it, and maybe I'll also revisit the Redux version and see if my thoughts on this improve. For now, this is a great movie that I can't say I enjoyed that much. Still, I recommend it if you still haven't seen it, you'll probably get a lot out of it.

  • They/Them

I've now watched more movies for the first time this year than I did last year!

Anyways, this is the ranking of every movie I watched for the first time this year so far.

So uhh yeah, every awful thing about this movie could be gathered from the fact it's a horror movie called They/Them. That's literally all I have to say about it.

I'm so upset right now. One of those movies that deserve 0 of the praise it gets. Stop praising movies for direction and themes. Movies are more than just that. Think about what happens in this movie and you'll see why it's so fucked in every way. The premise is stupid enough, but it's made worse by the execution of literally every scene in the movie. Even if it weren't a logical mess, the characters don't react normally to anything…

  • Nightcrawler

Out of all of the “literally me” characters I’ve seen in movies, this guy is definitely one of the weirdest. Investing the whole way through, highly recommend.

  • Predators

Fuck it, I'm logging this right now, I have like 15 minutes left but it's lagging so much and it's so boring. Couldn't tell you anything that happened, and yeah unless the ending is somehow great I'm sticking with this score.

  • GoodFellas

An absolutely phenomenal movie in every way. I got so invested in every character for the entirety of the 2+ hour runtime. You know these are bad people, but you can't help but root for them in a way. Everytime someone died, it felt so vital. It's like you felt everything the characters were feeling. Yeah, this movie's pretty much just as good as everyone says it is, with some of the greatest acting, direction, story, and script that I've ever seen in a movie. Highly recommend.
