    This was my first viewing of the 185-minute version, and it seemed like a different film. Especially in the sound design and the pillow shots that featured the city. If this version had been released in 2005, it would have been much more obviously a portrait of post-9/11 NYC in the way the characters are placed in their physical environment. While it still focuses on a self-centered teenage girl, we see her as symbolic of the world she finds herself…
