This movie is so serene and quietly powerful. I love it more every time I watch it. On this particular viewing, the scene where Kiki goes to Ursula’s cabin for a mini vacation and is transfixed by the painting hit me so hard, and is simply some of Miyazaki’s best filmmaking.
