I usually love a good tightly paced, under 90 minute thriller so it sucks to write that Lakewood just didn't do much for me. It starts off really strong but it loses steam about halfway through and ends very poorly. It's such a shame that Prey went straight to streaming, because it's a real fucking movie that deserves the theatrical experience. Watching it with the Comanche dub is such a thrill. Black Bird is yet another fantastic series from Apple TV+. A slow burn, but one that very much always remains deeply engrossing and unsettling.
