Jason Bourne

Jason Bourne ★★★★★

Matt Damon still has it at 45 (going on 46 later this year) years old. As he once again, excels returning back in his most signature role of his career the one and only, Jason Bourne. Paul Greengrass returns as well, John Powell again as the composer and so does Julia Stiles.

In this new installment of the franchise, we're introduced with new characters & cast. The lovely Alicia Vikander is a great addition as Heather, the head of the CIA. The always-reliable Tommy Lee Jones is solid as the CIA director. The gifted Vincent Cassel while underutilized, makes for a great asset & has a fantastic showdown for the ages with Jason Bourne. Riz Ahmed is sadly wasted here with an unnecessary character.

Jason Bourne may be sillier than the previous ones especially kings of the crop Bourne Supremacy  & Bourne Ultimatum (the best of the lot) but Greengrass stellar direction, Damon's magnetic performance, John Powell's wonderful score, the relentless action & the foot/car/motorcycle chases makes this one of the best films of the year.

I like Identity a lot though not as much as others & I think Renner's Bourne Legacy is underrated, I like this one better than those two. This is a well-acted, non stop action-packed & a very satisfying entry for fans including myself of the franchise.
