A pretty worthy sequel/prequel that seemed to want to show that Indiana Jones could be moved around to different settings and situations, not just as a Nazi fighter. The secondary characters are a mixed bag - Short Round is maybe played for laughs, but he's a fun counterpart, while Willie is an all-time annoying character, through no fault of Kate Capshaw's - and the conversation around cultural insensitivity is certainly earned. Even though so much of this movie takes place underground, it's still fun to look at and the action sequences are great. I enjoy it quite a bit.
