Fully commits to being as delightful of a fantasy blockbuster as possible. So many great locations, so many fun style touches, so many great characters, all infused with shades of the nearly extinct early 2000's brand of earnest, sweeping spectacle. Incredibly light on its feet as it flies from location to location and joke to joke without ever losing the grandeur that makes this kind of movie so much fun. Every set piece, creature, weapon, spell, piece of treasure; everything…

Melodrama of rubble and shadow. Dark, romantic, thrilling, playful; film noir in as pure a form as ever. Some of the deepest atmosphere ever put to film, the kind of movie where the darkness has completely taken you from the opening moments. Looks as good as any movie ever has, performed with just the most stirring gravitas, absolutely addicting momentum-wise, and gosh, what an ending. Twenty minutes of some of cinema's most haunting images, all leading to that devastating final note. There's nothing like this, and there never will be.

Utterly explosive! Wastes no time throwing you into a G-Force driven roller coaster of emotion, spectacle, and pure cinematic delight! When people say they don't make 'em like they used to, this is the kind of movie they're referring to. Every slider here is cranked up to 11. There isn't an aspect of this movie that isn't pushed to it's fullest potential. But what's most important in that the film doesn't lose it's soul in the midst of it all.…

Probably the greatest film ever made. No film, at least from what I've seen, has been able to tap into and utilize the endless bounds of the cinematic art form to create something so grand and powerful. Something so rich with texture yet so refined and smooth. Something so... perfect. It's The Godfather! It's a film immortally intertwined with movie history and culture, a film where it's near impossible to go a minute without hearing an iconic line, a film…
