Work under our current system has become such an oppressing element of our lives we don’t even stop to consider how damaging it can be to just do it to survive.
We’re cultivated into a culture of feeling useless or unwanted if we can’t perform the same tasks over and over even when our emotional or physical being is at stake.
It’s been said countless times, but this movie speaks to a lot of working adults and young adults for a reason. Even if you do something you love for a living, you need to make time for yourself. Unfortunately, that is easier said than done in our current situation.
Currently my favorite Ghibli film.
