Top 4 is creative inspiration
My third movie has arrived!! I hope New Chapter connects with others struggling with the same reasons why I made this in the first place, autism / neurodivergence and anxiety disorders, and that all audiences find something to connect to while watching.
I admired this more than I personally enjoyed it, but it’s a really entertaining and well made movie. A really interesting watch as an early Sean Baker work not only because he’s one of my biggest creative influences, but also because this is a story about parenthood 9 years before The Florida Project with undertones of Bush-era United States. I wonder where Aiden Noesi is today. Neorealist cinema forever.
People suck. This is a good movie about that, even if I wasn't blown away by it. I love the production design and overall story scale especially, the final act is great. Feels like it had a level of inspiration on both Oppenheimer and Flower Moon.
