I love a survey! Truly I love watching an artist's body of work change over time, I love watching an artist think and then think better and then think worse and then think better-better. So this was largely extremely fun for me, loud and weird and bright (I didn't see it in IMAX but I did see it in a theater and I'm glad I did). Maybe: it leaned too hard on some (admittedly great) sources, maybe: it did great work casting Bowie's work as a series of deliberate, curious choices and then kind of trailed off. But I was never bored.
