Scream ★★★★★

Hello day 26, what’s your favorite scary movie ?

Wes Craven’s revolutionary slasher remains one of the most iconic horror films of the 1990s and still holds up extremely well.

Neve Campbell might be the best final girl actress and she gets a lot of time to shine here.

Skeet Ulrich and Matthew Lillard are both delightfully unhinged as Billy and Stu, and there turn in the third act is some of the most entertaining acting ever in a horror film.

Jamie Kennedy, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette are also super iconic as the supporting cast.

But give it up to Drew Barrymore, who’s only on screen for 16 minutes but is part of one of the greatest opening sequences in all of film. I’d say it’s without a doubt one of the best directed moments in any film let alone a horror one.

The kills are effectively brutal, the script is both funny and suspenseful, and the fact that it flies by shows how excellent the pacing is.

It’s just so damn great, another all time horror classic.
