*Obligatory statement about how W O K E Mr. Bird is*

Fun story: this was the first movie I ever watched in a theater. Crazy, right? All I have to say is that I'm glad my mom took me to see this instead of Underdog (we were supposed to see Ratatouille with some friends, but they decided on Underdog last minute). I think this is one of the best movie's about artists ever made and rewatching it for the first time in years made me realize how much this probably influenced me as a kid and changed my perspective on things. Bird proves once again that he totally understands how to make a movie. Brad bird just really isn't talked about enough when it comes to the best directors these days. Patton Oswald as a pretentious rat chef is also something I didn't know we needed, but it's fantastic. Overall, really great flick!
