I got to watch this at NYFF and I'm so glad I did because, watching this movie with a passionate audience made the experience even more incredible for me. Hearing everyone laugh at all the jokes, and cry when something emotional happened—it was so special and I could have never had such an experience elsewhere. Greta Gerwig really pours her entire heart into this one; it was so personal yet so relatable, no matter who you are and where you come from you're going to be moved by it. Saoirse Ronan as Lady Bird is by far her best role to date. You forget that she's Saoirse for 95 minutes; she completely embodies her character and I will be so surprised if she doesn't at least get a nomination for it. It's a beautiful directorial debut and I urge you all to go see it when it's out! I also got to meet Greta!!!!!!!! She hugged me and I gave her the letter I wrote for her AND SHE SAID MY NAME so my entire life is made.
