MediaPundit’s review published on Letterboxd:
Pablo Larrain’s Spencer is a moving glimpse into Princess Diana’s marriage just as it hit breaking point.
The story takes place during an imagined Christmas at the Queen’s Sandringham estate in 1991. The atmosphere is chilly as Prince and Princess of Wales are not on speaking terms and Diana is suffering an emotional breakdown. What follows is a weekend of stifling tension as the couple circle each other under the eyes of the Royal family.
Kristen Stewart pulls off a tight, controlled performance which eerily resembles the real Diana, down to the brittle mannerisms.
