"Blade Runner" is about Rick Deckard, an ex-policeman, who becomes a special agent with a mission to exterminate a group of violent androids. As he starts getting deeper into his mission, he questions his own identity.
When I first saw this back in 2017, I and my parents didn't enjoy this at all. The reason why is that it was so fucking boring and I found the action very lacking. So I decided 2 rewatch this, Yes I saw the Final Cut of it, and "Blade Runner" is without a doubt, one of the best sci-fi movies ever made
The performances of Ford, Young, and some of the cast is great and gave one of the best performances of their career. Of course, the practical effects looked stunning and without the CGI makes this a masterpiece, as well as the cinematography, color-palette, and camerawork, and the score which is the definition of "eargasm". The writing in this movie is incredible with thought-provoking dialogue, a wonderful monologue, and some great characters. The plot and the directing are fantastic. There are a few action sequences in the movie and I found them very intense and dark. And the production design feels very realistic.
However, after 1 hour and 15 minutes. the movie gets really boring till the final action sequence starts, and I didn't like the romance between Deckard and Rachael cuz it's very odd.
Overall, "Blade Runner" kinda fails its pacing but I do think it's worth-watching cuz it's a beautiful-looking and interesting movie, and it gave birth to cyberpunk, and I would like to rewatch this soon.
Also, speaking of cyberpunk, Is anyone excited for Cyberpunk 2077????? I do. Very excited to get it on PS5???, PS4???, PC??? IDK. And Happy Belated BDay to Ridley Scott 🥳🥳🥳🥳
