ISee Icy Ice’s review published on Letterboxd:
"Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" is about Bill and Ted, who are traveling through time to assemble historical figures for their high school history presentation.
This movie is my no. 1 favorite guilty pleasure movie of all time. If I'm feeling bored or just sad, I would rewatch this cause everything in this movie is excellent, I mean there were a few problems with the storytelling and the writing, but I don't really care about them.
If you see my review for Bill and Ted 2 and 3, You already know that I love the chemistry between Bill and Ted. Oh yeah, their performances are charming, as well as some of the cast including George Carlin. The writing in this movie and the directing are great, the best part is the comedy, it's so hard to not laugh or dislike it because their one-liners and the way they act pretty much saves this film. When they travel through time, I love the costumes and the casting of the historical figures from this movie, and the production design. The soundtrack is lit and fitting. The VFX is incredibly better than the effects of "Cats". And the concept sounds excellent for a time-travel movie.
Overall, "The first Bill and Ted" is obviously, the best from the trilogy or franchise. It's a dumb, funny, and brilliant movie. I would give this a 3 1/2 out of 5 stars, but since this one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies, Imma just give this one a 5.
