Is there anyone besides me on this site that was introduced as a child to this little special through "Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse"? A show of hands please.๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ

My parents bought a VHS copy of that movie for me in 2001, so I was about five years old at that time. It would take me so many years afterward to discover that the special itself was made eighteen years prior and thatโ€ฆ

My Hot Take (or a Cold Take if I want to make this movie with its cold setting a theme for this post): I really, really, REALLY, really, really like "Fargo".

I must have first watched "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" nearly ten years on Netflix, and I thought it was just okay then. I laughed so much more upon this rewatch, and I adore this movie now. Steve Martin and especially the late John Candy make a winning duo with a clear relationship between the two different personalities. I got a kick out of spotting the familiar faces of Bill Erwin,โ€ฆ

It's kind of funny seeing the Nicole Kidman ad and Tom Cruise's message within two minutes prior to the feature, huh?

Believe the hype, folks. "Top Gun: Maverick" is rock-solid entertainment. It greatly improves on the original 1986 film, and this is coming from someone who doesn't care much for that one. Is the sequel just as pro-Navy and continues displaying the opponents as faceless enemies? It does, as expected. Is the "Tom Gun" cheese still intact? Itโ€ฆ
