Tyler McCalpin’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Master is an extremely strange and difficult film. Very ambiguous in it's theme(s) and characters. It will most definitely require at least another viewing to fully grasp the film's concepts and message(s); however, I'm not sure I want to watch it again (for a while at least). I can also say this: the cast was incredible, and if Lincoln was not released in the same calendar year I have very little doubt that Joaquin Phoenix would have taken home an oscar for his performance.
