Michael Chantiri’s review published on Letterboxd:
The most genuine downcast film ever made, it's able to skirt cynicism while still revealing harsh truths. Kaworu and Shinji's relationship anchors the story to a more hopeful path and maintains the emotional fluidity of the previous two films. The Rebuild series shows Anno in a more mature state and it enriches the story at every turn. It seems like he's truly evolved and as such so has the fabric of the Evangelion universe. I will not be surprised if I'm an absolute mess at the end of the next one, it's gonna be a ride.
