Where the Crawdads Sing

Where the Crawdads Sing ★★★½

“Living in isolation is one thing, living in fear is something else entirely.”

I liked this a lot and loved the tranquil vibe that the film put out. I do feel it was a tad slow and had some pacing issues because sometimes I was hooked and on edge. Next I was pretty bored with some things. Felt like the acting and overall character development could’ve been way better.

A one Daisy Edgar-Jones isn’t bad in the slightest but I feel her dialogue and narration could’ve been way more. She delivered and so did David Strathairn as her lawyer. He always good in everything he’s in and really stands out in this film as the good man’s lawyer. Garrett Dillahunt as Kya’s father was also haunting. He’s great and loved him in Fear the Walking Dead.

Great movie but what if the execution had been on another scale. Steven Spielberg directing this movie lmao.
