The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes 2023
One of the biggest surprises of the year for me. Great performances from Blyth and Zegler who are both incredibly captivating in their roles. I was also taken aback by how much its themes of control and propaganda played such a crucial role in the actual story and not just pushed to the background. Lastly, the cinematography was also very good, especially near the end and during the fight scenes where it really aided the tension. Overall, I’m very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this and would recommend it.

The Player 1992
Great movie, very funny while still being tense and gripping to watch. What a satire should aspire to be.
