Wind River 2017
jeremy renner did incredible justice to the "badass father who suffered a loss" in 1 hour and 45 minutes while shitty "detective" shows with dozens of hours of content fail to

Little Miss Sunshine 2006
Sometimes all you just needed to be is a perfect mood for the movie. I already adored Little Miss Sunshine on the first time I watched it but tonight I found myself loving it even more than before. It was unexpected rewatch tbh, this was on TV when I turned it on, just right at the start with title credit rolling over Steve Carell face, and for the next 100 minutes I found myself laughing and crying alongside with all…

Green Lantern: Beware My Power 2022
Catching up with DCAU ahead of upcoming major main event Justice League Warworld and turns out the rumours about this one are true. GL: BMP is pretty bad. The first film I genuinely disliked in Tomorrowverse. It is a mild, middling movie which even failed to do it's singular purpose of introducing Green Lantern for this universe (but I don't know, he kind of exist now, so this completed the task?). Despite spending the whole movie…

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery 2022
I rewatched Knives Out the day before seeing this. The scene when you find out exactly how Harlan Thrombey died is a freaking masterpiece. It's so well staged and funny and tender-hearted. In a story moving at a furious clip, it's a relief to slow down and let Ana de Armas and Christopher Plummer just ACT. The exhange gives the movie a beating human heart grounding all the zaniness and whodunit theatrics. And reader, I wept! Maybe cause Plummer's dead…

DC League of Super-Pets 2022
I know this has been getting some good reviews from audience but you need to watch this yourself to see how actually good it is. This just happened to be a good kid animation movie where adults can also enjoy/ appreciate. Totally organic humour, unexpcted amounts of beep-out words, and references/parody to other media feelt like it was also made for adult as well. I don't think anyone will come into a movie about pets of…
