A budding auteur being given a large check to go absolutely buck wild instead of diluting his vision through a bland IP entry??? YOU LOVE TO SEE IT.

I'm honestly still reeling from this. Part of me wants to just vomit out a list of things I thought were really fucking rad, but I also don't want to spoil anything and this is absolutely one of these movies that needs to be seen in theaters. Not only because of how incredible it looks and sounds, but also because this is precisely the type of movie that struggles to actually get made nowadays. People can watch 7 seasons of Game of Thrones but can't get off their asses to sit through one movie that does all that same stuff but 1000x better??? Come on, y'all. Everyone in it is hot!!! There is a fully committed berserker ritual!!! Ok ok, I feel the pull to go off on a tangent list of cool things so I'll stop there. But just go see this shit. It's actually got something to say, looks like a real fucking movie and is just a helluva good time.
