Few blockbusters have as effectively matched the vacancy of exterior spaces with that of the interior life of their character(s). Its the franchise distilled, the film's movements almost isolated passages, encounters with the inhabitants of once vibrant worlds that weakly draw Bond into their orbit as he gains momentum, crashes through the detritus of these environs, and hurtles toward some inevitable collision: one that could and, indeed, does prove the possibility that "out of horror, beauty".
