This was a very powerful movie and gracefully navigates its subject matter, especially with Sarah Polley's incredible screenplay and powerhouse performances in the ensemble. There isn't a single minute wasted and luckily Polley is able to handle this with nuance as well as giving the viewer a sense of levity when needed. Particularly, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, and Ben Whishaw are giving us some powerful monologues and heartbreaking scenes. All of this is engaging while being encompassed by Hildur Guðnadottir's amazing score, only playing at the perfect moment. The movie has some really stunning shots, and my only complaint was with the color grading. But overall, a very moving picture.
