It was okay but man are the visual effects in this movie terrible. There’s this CGI fest in the third act that made me want to throw my computer off the window. It looked ridiculous and had no meaning. I get that it’s supposed to be a family friendly safe Disney Superhero movie but can the make up artists please put some blood or at least dirt on their faces during a damn war? Why in the world does everyone look so clean? The story was also really boring, and the world building was not well executed. The writing in this movie was also not that good and extremely cheesy.
That being said, the things I liked about this was Shang Chi himself Simu Liu who is incredibly charismatic and fit the role like a glove. Awkwafina was also not annoying. The action scenes were well done, and the cinematography wasn’t as bland as most of the MCU movies which genuinely surprised me. The first two acts were good, third act being an embarrassment.
