Great film! I have so many words that I would like to use to describe this film and the emotions that I felt while watching it, but really I can sum it up by saying that it is truly a great film! The look of it is beautiful, the sound is amazing and the story comes through with emotion and passion without being cheesy or cliché. There were several times throughout this short film that I felt what Jamie was…

    West Side Story

This is one remake that is definitely worth watching!
Usually remakes fall short of living up to the original, and this one had a huge award winning original to live up to. Surprisingly though it did!
This is a beautiful movie visually and a respectful and faithful retelling of the original. There are also a few new scenes and songs that were beautiful, appropriate, seamless and which added another layer to the story.
I really thought that this was a…

I was looking forward to watching this movie because I grew up “with” the royals. We would read all the European magazines and knew all the ins and outs about their life, so when Diana died that was a truly sad day. She left 2 young sons and as a mother of of young children back then, that hit home hard.
Anyway, the movie. Boy was I disappointed! While I didn’t expect a sappy movie about her life, I definitely…

    The Emperor's New Groove

This is a special one for me! Brings back great memories with my son❤️
We were already big fans of animated movies when my youngest was born- his oldest sibling is 6 years older and the next one is 5 years older. So while they were at school Mama and Mikey would, of course, watch movies! This was an instant favorite of Mikey’s so we watched it almost daily. Thankfully it is a good one!
    One of my favorite things…

    Step Brothers

Ok, I will never live this down!! This was a big time parent fail for me, but one of the best stories ever!!
So, we were on vacation and visiting family and we all wanted to watch a movie that everyone of all ages could watch together. The age range was about 6 to 65+, so of course I thought that a Will Ferrell movie would be perfect! What could go wrong??
Well as it turned out, this wasn’t exactly…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

“Love, the language of love!” 😂
This movie is amazing! It is funny in a “dumb but it is really smart” way.
I absolutely love John Cusack in everything he does and this is no exception. His face always has the same expression of “I can’t believe this his happening to me” mixed with irony and a little bit of sarcasm which perfectly shows the teenage angst that his character feels because he lost his girl.
    Ok, that is the…

    Teen Witch

I really like this movie. Now don’t judge me, I am not totally crazy, there is a reason for this.
This silly, cheesy, badly acted movie appealed to my teenage self in many ways. I mean doesn’t everyone want to be popular and gain the love of the cutest boy at school? Well I didn’t exactly feel that way, I was happy being middle of the pack popular and well whatever. But really I liked it because it is the…

    The Milagro Beanfield War

    Boring!!! This.movie.is.incredibly.long.
I saw this movie with a few friends when we were in high school. One of them had dreams of becoming a filmmaker and he had heard about this movie and wanted us all to see it with him. We definitely gave him a lot of grief over this dud! We didn’t let him live it down for quite a while!!
I don’t even know what the heck was the point of this movie, maybe if I knew that I would have liked. I mean it does have several good actors (not including MG). But no, this was not good at all.

    Thank God It's Friday

Gee, it seems like I was watching many inappropriate movies before the age of 10! And with permission!
This one happened after a particularly rough time at home for my parents and my mom and I (more my mom than me) were trying to “escape” the worries of the day and decided we should go to a double feature. I don’t remember what other movie we watched, but Thank God it’s Friday was one of them.
    I liked this movie…

    Weird Science

Totally impossible & silly premise, but somehow I liked this movie! Maybe I had a mini crush on Ilan Mitchell-Smith? Not sure, maybe so, but I thought it was kinda good. Then again I was a teenager at the time so maybe I just had bad taste! Anyway it has several legit stars that may have made it more passable. Also I thought the part where Bill Paxton is turned into a - well you would have to see it but it is well deserved and funny.
    Not terrible for sure!

Wow, I just realized that I was 6 years old when I saw this movie!!
From what I can remember of it, and through the filter of my 6yr old eyes, I thought this was a good movie. I was impressed by the acting and the sets of the movie, although I am not sure I would think the same if I saw it now.
Huge building on fire and about to collapse and everyone trying to get out. That…

    The Cannonball Run

Awkward! Well not the movie, more like the situation that I was in that made this movie night one to remember. Summer of my 13th birthday and my first boyfriend, who I was not allowed to go out alone with. So how do you go to the movies with your boyfriend if you can’t go alone? Well of course your mother and brother and sister come along as well. Perfectly normal right?? Well not quite! First my mom couldn’t pay…
