Spider-Man: Homecoming 2017
This movie feels so weird on a rewatch. The fact that they abandoned the neighborhood spiderman aspect to Peter Parker felt almosrt insulting. Also all of the references to the other avengers characters gave off a sort of attitude like the producers didn’t think this film could stand on its own. Also Zendaya is wasted in this movie completely.

The Little Mermaid 2023
Quite possibly my favorite Disney live action remake, that learns a bit from its predecessors. The Little Mermaid really does showcase Rob Marshall’s insane talents when directing musicals, and Halle Bailey quickly shows that she is a star with her performance of “Part of your World”. Melissa McCarthy also surprised me quite a bit, and she was quite fun and menacing as a villain.
