Roland emmerich, a genius: no one will care that exposition being delivered is absolutely bonkers if it’s Jeff Goldblum: sweaty, sassy and smoking fucking hot

the American exceptionalism is nauseating but I wish most modern blockbusters looked as good as this one, tangible and not too cgi’ed and the movie star moments are gold

Man I miss movie star movies, they’re just having fun

Still the most hitting monologue ever, that practically writes the definition of quietly powerful.

How dare people have said that inception was confusing - inception is ikea instructions compared to this thing.

Nolan certainly knows how to show and kinda explain and utilise a premise like this for action and plot purposes and mostly it’s just a lot of people talking about the premise and concept and I still did not understand anything. The action is impressive and messes with your head like hell.

I really really wish however that there was just breathing…

Why have I wasted my life watching movies directed by men? I’m amazed and enchanted by this - it has an excellent approach to this subject. It’s almost, with only few exceptions like entering an alternate universe for three and half hours where only women have directed.
To be clear I only watched the first part of this, it the only one I can make but I hope one day I will get
to see the rest. So many films and directors I have never heard of! What hours of discovery!
