Being free is being alone?
Watching this again, I stand by all my previous thoughts.
Portrait of a Lady on Fire is a sofisticated piece, so sublime, pure, peaceful and almost magical.
It is a film where every frame is a painting, the cinematography is exquisite. There are so many other aspects I'd love to acclaim, but I don't know what can I add. Portrait of a Lady on Fire leaves me speechless, stunned.
It is a powerful story, so important and representative. The intensity of this forbidden and timeless romance, the delicacy and elegance of these ladies, the evocative and angelical classical music. Overall, poetic cinema.
In solitude, I felt the liberty you spoke of.
