Ben’s review published on Letterboxd:
More cartoonish and less overtly cruel than its predecessor, TOXIC AVENGER II succeeds more in its outright commitment to comedy but lags in terms of pacing. While I’m always okay with a movie series going “let’s go to Japan”, I wish more time was spent in the charming Tromaville. I had a blast nonetheless, I really appreciated how much it commits to being utterly juvenile, and the kills all are hilarious (highlight being a man whose nose is turned into a fish via a scalding hot mold). It’s undeniably dumb, and certainly not for everyone, but I’m one who gets a kick out of cartoon absurdity so this was right up my alley.
