Mark Walker✨’s review published on Letterboxd:
As Robert Eggers delves into the mystic and spirituality in his Viking odyssey, he crafts something that’s certainly not your average historical epic. His attention to detail in Norse mythology is quite astounding in a tale that has been said to strongly inspire Shakespeare’s Hamlet. It’s an ambitious endeavour but Eggers pulls it off and Alexander Skarsgard makes for a ferocious lead while Jarin Blaschke’s stunning cinematography is a thing to behold. A visceral and profound piece of filmmaking that satisfies on many levels.
