It has an undeniable charm, with its double storyline, but unfortunately it all feels far too much undercooked. Like a Nicholas Sparks' film adaptation mixed together in a totally different courtroom drama that doesn't fully immerse on the qualities that both genres of films can have. It feels far too bright and predictable, even with the final twist being comprehensible from miles away. Perhaps there was no wish to conceal what was in front of our eyes, but I'm not sure about that.
