    We watched this with our kids, and I think it may have sent them the wrong message about love since…

    SPOILERS:

    …this movie is about a group of brothers that kidnap all of the girls that they each like, then hold them prisoner over the winter.  Their time together leads to the women falling in love with each brother, and the closing shot of the movie is a group wedding between the kidnappers and the kidnapees.

    There was one song early on that did not age well, but otherwise, I loved this musical.  The story constantly went in directions that I wasn’t expecting, and I was very impressed by this movie from 1942.
