    “A child needs his mother more than their mother needs to be right”

    Well done Ridley. Finally, a historical film that isn’t from the stupid point of view of their male characters fighting, drinking, and fu**ing whining about stupid sh*t. This was different. The storytelling (particularly in pt.3) made it even more different. And I loved this different.
    But -1 because it needed less male screen time and more Jodie Comer  💖💞💓💕

    Sooo, that was disappointing…
    Why waste all those punchlines Chappelle? Why the too much justifying yourself if you don’t think Twitter comments matter? Why make a whole f***ing stand-up comedy that isn’t comedic?
    And then he punchlines with “I’m a feminist”.. ya right Dave.

    Ohh I really… really, really wanted to like this sooo much more. I really did, but I felt so little - except for the ending -

    Emotions and characters are everything in those kinda films, and - for me - they didn’t deliver! While, I really admired acting & ofc the production in total ❤️

    I crave for those race dealing-with films in past centuries, especially when they get done so well, you dive into them, that you even forget they’re scripted or acted. 

    I only wished it was a bit longer to throw…
