    Ferrara understands that if you're gonna rip off/remake a classic the best way is just to make it more violent and more neon grungy. The poor girl who plays Tye is so lost on basic delivery, should've been one of the awesome punk butches instead.

    I love so much the complicated feelings this can evoke on rewatches regarding all the "fake" ghosts. On top of the images obviously remaining deeply unsettling despite the ability your brain has to try to wave away fear because it's "not real ghosts", in a deeper sense they remain a kind of documented spectral memory in the same way as the "real" ghosts being predominantly borne out of the same recorded images.
