  also watched this last night. the best of the three i've seen so far by virtue of being the grimiest. it's probably well-tread ground at this point that lifetime movies always takes place in nice houses so the suburban moms they're made for can relate, but i imagine if these took place in locations that more closely resemble the homes of people that are financially struggling they would just wind up feeling like the exploitation movies they really are. the sterility of everything is very much part of the aesthetic language and makes them immediately identifiable.

  definitely a step down after girl in the closet. way too much seducing the captor bullshit and not enough moment to moment action, of which 'closet' had plenty. just didn't feel the commitment from anyone involved at any level.

  tonal masterpiece!! hints at a more cosmic horror just enough to lend an air of otherworldliness while still making the smart decision to never let the audience get more than a glimpse of what might be going on. you’ll like it.
