    Debut feature film by Kwon Oh-seung who also wrote it. In a thriller of cat and mouse that pits a serial killer against a deaf mother and daughter, with an ex-cop trying to save his sister. I tend to give a bit more leniency to first features because it's really a director experimenting with the form. Less of plot maybe, but more interesting from a film making perspective.

    Tough watch. There was lots of footage circulating online last year of the police brutality against both protestors and other citizens. What this short documentary didn't show is how the collective ingenuity of the Hong Kong people helped them to defend themselves and fight back in some way. Although the end is still chaos, there's a glimmer of hope that things would change for the better.
