Nothing like the book. She had no depth to her like she did in the book. The abuse she faced by her dad was an afterthought. Throughout the entire movie she was either making out with Tate or Chase. The scenes with Chase were incredibly corny. It didn’t capture how she learned through the marsh since she didn’t have her family to teach her. This made the twist at the end completely fall flat.
