Luke Stagg’s review published on Letterboxd:
After watching it for my first time, I can tell this is the kind of movie that you can keep learning from. It’s a masterclass in directing and writing a movie based around real events. The script itself just works so perfectly for the story it’s telling. The beginning scene is one of the best I’ve seen in movies, and sets everything up perfectly. My one complaint: the female characters are not very strong. I understand this was based on real events, so they did what they could, but it was just very noticeable... this is a trait I find in a lot of Fincher’s movies. Overall, though, just excellent.
