Neat! Just wanted to watch a western and popped this on. Figured the ending a little less than two thirds of the way through.

Jack Nicholson was in it… For such sparse dialogue and plot I was impressed with how taken in I was with the story.

Cinematography was invisible in a good way until the very end where I think they could’ve done it better. But I’m guessing at the time it would’ve all been a big shock.

Definitely not the movie that “makes you feel light and playful and full of summer whimsy” as Jacob Samuels promised me, but nonetheless an utterly fantastic film.

Bergman is one of those directors that just sweep you away. His style is so simplistic that it’s only after a frame has passed that you realize the depth of the image.

More than any technical aspects, the story and performances are crushingly honest. Such a human story, it’s the illusion of a fairytale beginning that swept me away and finished me off with a knife to the chest.

THE better version, although I only watched the original movie without sound on a plane, on a guys iPhone in the seat in front of me.

LOVED the first 30 minutes. Pure entertainment and style. Lots of laughs, lots of blood, how could you not like it?

I think the ending dragged a little bit but I can’t complain. It’s righteously original and doesn’t give a fuck. I think DC is making a good pivot from their previous fuck ups…

Absolutely stunning. The most ambitious, well planned film and well executed of all time. It’s razor sharp.

I need to see it again but I think it truly ties up all the loose ends. Absolutely brilliant.
