Another Round

Another Round ★★★★★

Brilliant. I’m not much of a drinker myself to be honest and I only do it when I go out which was never very often. But I am familiar with feeling like I’ve lost myself. Have I changed? Was I better before? The way the film explores that and deals with it is beautiful.

Seeing the gang at the meal at the beginning to the final night of drinking is so heartbreaking because you come to love all of them. You know their flaws and see every part of them. They’re not bad people and they just want to feel comfortable with themselves. It’s all in the mind and alcohol does allow to become free. But it has consequences. It’s plain to see what those consequences are in the film and it led to a tearjerker of a scene. If you’ve seen the movie then you know what I’m talking about.

I’d highly recommend this.
