Luke Couch’s review published on Letterboxd:
Shaka King's 'Judas and the Black Messiah' is undoubtedly one of the most important films of the year and one I hope could sweep Oscar season and it would certainly deserve to do just that. A heartbreaking and gut wrenching true story brought to the screen with expert direction from Shaka King, breathtaking performance from Lakeith Stanfield & Daniel Kaluuya.
The slow sense of dread that build throughout the picture, in knowing how it will end, completely emotionally enthralled me.
Truly a must-see.
