Luke87’s review published on Letterboxd:
I’ll definitely rewatch 8 1/2 as I don’t think it can be digested properly in one viewing. It’s quite a disorientating experience, a piece of surreal meta-cinema that follows lead character Guido’s perspective as it frequently blurs between reality, daydreams, memories and dreams. As well as the aforementioned imagery, the film is highlighted by thought provoking sequences of dialogue about the creative process, art and artistic intention. Beautifully filmed too (the introductory dream sequence is fantastic).
