    i get the bad reviews.

involving the townspeople of haddonfield in this scope was a good idea but it just wasnt executed well. the dialogue ("evil ends tonight") and pacing were iffy, which is surprising because the first movie helmed by green and mcbride was rich in those areas.

but you would be lying if you said that you didnt enjoy michael myers on his most gruesome spree. i love it when he goes apeshit on multiple people at once…

this movie really shines a light on how people can capitalize on someones death because this shit could really happen irl if u think about it. its scary how you can easily manipulate a dead person lived and create such a mass hysteria with it just like that.

its funny, dark and a little over the top but you enjoy it every step of the way, with the help of a poignant and troubled robin williams performance.

he really goes all out in the end in that interview jesus.

i dont even know where to begin.

love this thing from top to bottom, monologues and all.

its so grim and powerful. timely critiques and reflections on blind faith, religion, race and living.

so many rich and complex characters, with some new members in the flanagan-verse who did exceptional work.

    riley flynn deserved better.

bev keane is a bitch. never hated a character this much in forever.

give hamish linklater, zach gilford and samantha sloyan all the awards please.

    mike flanagan, i love you.

i know this is ryan goslings vehicle (lol) but albert brooks was such a joy to watch in his limited yet unrelenting role.

this movie has a very specific kind of aesthetic that i both dig and dont like. the more times i rewatch it the more it confuses my feelings.
