    Viking Wolf



    It sounded like an interesting variation of the werewolf tale, especially with the Viking prologue, but for some reason I couldn't figure out, Viking Wolf decides to go a rather limited and quiet route before showing its claws.

    There's too much confusion in the abundance of genre clichés, so to reiterate, apparently there was an idea to do something a little more distinctive, but those intentions are wiped out right from the first part.

    Venus never seems to find any tone or path to settle into, struggling much to gain any traction that is only reached far into its third act.

    This is even more problematic when you consider that the movie seems to be going for more suspense than horror in the beginning. And when we finally get to the horror, it feels rushed.
    Also, I had a hard time buying Ester Expósito's character.

    The guy who near the end admits that he knows about 6 women who were abused but cries out of sadness and anger that they made it public, which affected the fucking Bikram, makes it clear why men like this exist and get away with the things they do.
    The charlatans are one thing, but their enablers.... Jesus.

    I'll say this documentary isn't telling something new but it was interesting enough and it's relevance is undeniable.
