2020’s 72nd movie • ?/100
There’s no way I can rate this in this moment. Maybe I should wait until I’m older so that I can understand this. I started watching 8½ a month ago with my mom and we weren’t understanding it, so we stopped the movie. I hadn’t read the plot before starting it so I was very confused. On the day before yesterday, I had the idea of rewatching this but I wanted to make sure I was focused and that I was understanding the plot. As you can see, it took me three days to end this because I really wanted to appreciate and understand everything I could.
All I can say is that Federico Fellini has an unique way of directing. As I said in my review of La Dolce Vita, I feel like all of the directors of Hollywood were heavily inspired by him. Amazing cinematography.
