Movies with mysteries that hint at some obscure truth hidden behind the surface of reality. Surrealistic and bizarre films that often use the noir mold to reveal some deep or esoteric truth about reality. I will be including both films that fit this statement exactly, and peripheral films that I feel fit the aesthetic or would otherwise enhance the experience.
