Luca’s review published on Letterboxd:
I just rewatched this. This first time I watched this I was much younger and feel that I couldn’t appreciate. On the surface level this is just an excellently crafted but fairly standard drama, which is what I saw it as the on my first time viewing. Watching it a second time with more insight into Coppola’s work I can really see the subtle nuances that make this movie great.
Sorry for all the five star reviews lately but I’m kinda binging the greatest movies ever made.
