    Possibly the one I watched the most on VHS. It's funny that for all of Robin Williams' constant begging for the audience's attention (and he is funny, not slagging him off here), it's actually Jafar who made me laugh most consistently here.

    Disney's Empire Strikes Back - the one where they perfected the formula set up by Little Mermaid and does a little bit of subversion with Belle engaging some minor feminism, which I suppose is a pretty big deal for a Disney protagonist.

    This is, of course a film by Ashman/Menken/CAPS; the animators are fully comfortable with the digital inking and coloring process by this time, and the songs are all bangers - structured with ruthless screenplay class efficiency.

    My favorite version of Dune so far? Yes, this includes the novel.

    Any adaptation of Herbert's text would necessarily add some humanity to the humans, and while I would have gone even further, I understand Villeneuve and Co wanted to keep a layer of alienness.
